Across Texas, Promise programs are providing an opportunity for more high school students to attend college, earn a credential or degree, and succeed in their career choices. These innovative programs combine tuition assistance and success coaching to help ALL students thrive, increasing equity in educational and workforce outcomes.
In each of these programs, coalitions of school districts, colleges, universities, employers and communities have joined forces to help more of their local area students complete college and begin fulfilling careers.
PROMISE PROGRAMS
Dallas County Promise is a last-dollar scholarship that covers tuition at partner colleges and offers dedicated student supports for Dallas County high school graduates from participating campuses with options for all Texas residents.

Red River Promise aims to provide accessible and affordable pathways to college for all students. In partnership with the community, high school seniors will have opportunities for guaranteed tuition and a success coach to support them as they earn their certificate or degree.

The TJC Promise Program is a six-year, comprehensive program that spans from 9th grade through the first two years of college. East Texas students who fulfill the Promise requirements receive support and encouragement to obtain a college degree or certificate from TJC.
